Trouble connecting?
- Check Sprint’s coverage map (click here) to make sure you’re in the solid yellow area.
- Make sure the Wi-Fi on your device is turned on or try toggling it off and back on.
Before using the Hotspot, charge it for 2-3 hours by plugging the charging cable into the USB port and the adapter to a standard wall outlet. You may still connect to the internet while it is charging. You may also want to make sure you’re in the solid yellow area of the map at coverage.sprint.com.
For Coolpad Hotspots: Press and hold the Power key for 3 seconds, or until all LED indicators shine green, to turn the Hotspot on or off.
For Linkzone 2 Hotspots: Press and hold the Power key for 3 seconds, or until all LED indicators shine blue, to turn the Hotspot on or off.
For Franklin T9 Hotspots: Press and hold the Power key for 3 seconds to turn the Hotspot on. Press and hold the button until the Display says “Goodbye” to turn the Hotspot off.
Connecting your Wi-Fi Device to the Hotspot
On your computer or other Wi-Fi enabled device, use the following directions to search for available Wi-Fi networks and select the network name that starts with, “DCL_Coolpad” or “DCPLD”.
- On Windows computer: Click the Wireless Network Connection icon in the upper-right or lower-right corner to view available networks. Choose “DCL_Coolpad” or “DCPLD” from the list, and click Connect. Enter the password provided and click OK.
- On Mac computer: In the Apple Menu, select System Preferences then click on Network. Click Wi-Fi and you will see a list of available networks. If not, click Turn Wi-Fi On. Choose “DCL_Coolpad” or “DCPLD” from the list, enter the password provided and click Join.
- On an Android or iOS smartphone/tablet: Go to Settings, then Wi-Fi. Make sure the Wi-Fi toggle is on (green) and choose “DCL_Coolpad” or “DCPLD” from the list of available networks. Enter the password provided and click Connect or Join.
