Library cards are free to all residents of Delta County.

You may use your library card at any Delta County Library. Your card also gives you access to materials only available on the library website.

How do I apply for a library card online?

Online applicants will be issued an Electronic Resources card, providing immediate access to all resources available on our website. To check out print materials, you will need to show proof of address next time you visit your library. Your information will be used solely for the receipt of a library card. Applicants under the age of 16 must apply in person at the library with a parent. Your card number will be emailed to you within 2 business days.

How do I renew my library card?

Delta County Libraries requires library cards to be renewed regularly so that we can ensure we have your most up-to-date information for our users. We do need to connect with you and we appreciate you completing this form with your current details. This information is used solely by Delta County Libraries. We will email you with your new expiration date within 2 business days.

Can I update my address, email, or phone number online?

We appreciate that you remembered to let us know something changed! Please fill out the online renewal form and staff will respond by email within 2 business days.

I lost my library card. What do I do?

Please have your ID ready and fill out the online application form. We will make sure your information is up-to-date in our system and email your library card number to you within 2 business days.  You can also visit any of our libraries during open hours with your photo ID to replace the card.

How can I see what I have checked out?

First, log into your library account.

You will need to enter your library card number (without spaces) and password. Once you have accessed your account, click on “checked out” under Account Summary or “Checked Out Titles” in the panel on the left.

If you need help with your password, visit our passwords page or your local library.

Can I renew my library materials online?

As long as no one else is waiting for your materials, you can renew your items up to 2 more times.

Follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account.
  • Click on the Checked Out tab.
  • Check the boxes next to the items you wish to renew.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Renew button.
  • You will see right away whether or not we were able to renew your items and your new due dates will show by each item.
How do I place a hold on materials?

You can place holds on up to 20 total items.

Follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account.
  • Search the catalog, then look to the right of the title you would like to reserve.
  • Click on the Place Hold button to the right of the title.
  • Choose your pickup library on the next screen and click on Submit Hold Request. (Note: “Automatically cancel this hold if not filled by” and “log me out after requesting the item” are optional.)

You can modify your holds by clicking on the My Account button or “titles on hold” under Account in the left panel.

Why is my card blocked?

There are two reasons your card is probably blocked:

  1. Your account may have expired. Delta County Libraries requires library cards to be renewed regularly so that we can ensure we have your most up-to-date information for our users. You can renew online. Instructions are available under “How do I renew my library card?”
  2. You may also be blocked due to a large fine or un-returned items.
Can I pay my fine online?

At this time, we cannot take fine payments online. Please contact your local library for more information about paying your fine.

Will my fine stop me from checking out?

Our system normally blocks you from checking out or using some online resources if you owe $5.00 or more in fines. Please, visit your local library to pay your fines.
