Voices of the Western Slope: Harvest of Voices

November 1, 2022 @ 6:00 pm MDT

Grand Mesa Arts and Events Center and Delta County Libraries present “Voices of the Western Slope,” a series of entertaining, engaging, and informative presentations on noteworthy topics of the Western Slope.

The November program is Harvest of Voices, Readings from the Western Slope, presented by the Blue Sage Literary Committee. Each year, the Blue Sage Literary Committee calls for submissions from writers on the western slope. The selected pieces are read by the writer during the annual Mountain Harvest Festival in Paonia. This special presentation reprises this year’s Harvest of Voices and compliments The Write Month, the Literary Committee’s month-long celebration of literary creativity in November. The featured readers for this year’s event are Betsy Marston, Madison Gill, Diane Sylvain, Ellen Stapenhorst, Marylee Hauze, Leah Bee, and Prema Rose. The master of ceremonies is Angus Stocking.

Join us for an evening of poetry, prose, and music from western slope writers on Tuesday, November 1 at 6pm at Grand Mesa Arts and Events Center. Bar opens at 5:00pm. Seating is limited, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is a recommended donation of $10 per person at the door.

For more information, contact Cedaredge Library at 970.399.7674 or Grand Mesa Arts and Events Center at 970.856.9195.  A recording of the presentation will be available after the event.
