The Nature Connection: Biking Bonanza
August 10 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm MDT
Cedaredge Library is teaming up with The Nature Connection (TNC) again this summer season to bring exciting outdoor programs to youth in our community!
Youth ages 6 through 14 are invited to register for “Biking Bonanza,” for a day of summer cycling fun on Saturday, August 10! Participants will meet at Cedaredge Library at 9:00am and take a bus to TNC’s headquarters in Hotchkiss. The program will first cover basic bike maintenance skills taught by TNC’s staff and summer bike tech. Participants will return to Cedaredge Library at 2:00pm.
Following the lesson, participants will be given the chance to experience the feeling of freedom and empowerment that comes with riding a bike. From the pump track to the mountain bike trail there is something for every age and skill level.
Participants must wear helmets and are encouraged to bring their own. Extra helmets will be available the day of the program for anyone who does not bring their own. Please wear suitable, outdoor clothing and comfortable shoes (no sandals) and be sure to bring your own lunch, a water bottle, and sun protection.
Space is limited. Register in-person at Cedaredge Library by August 3.
This program is for ages 6 through 14. There is a $10 registration fee to cover transportation and equipment costs.
