Boys at StoryWalk

Put on your walking shoes and get ready to Walk-a-Story for the 2020 Summer Reading Program “Imagine Your Story!”  Delta County Libraries is offering StoryWalks®in five locations across Delta County the week of June 13.  StoryWalks® are a fun and engaging way to get outdoors and read.  The pages of a book are posted in a park or on a trail providing families with the opportunity to walk…and read!  While you are walking and reading, try picking up items along the way to help you imagine your own story!  Use the collected items to write, draw, or tell your own, unique story.

On the Surface Creek Trail in Cedaredge, the posted book is One Leaf Rides the Wind by Celeste Mannis.

At Crawford State Park, the posted book is Snatchabook by Helen Docherty.  Colorado State Parks passes are available at the libraries for checkout on a first-come, first served basis.

At Sweitzer Lake State Park in Delta, the posted book is Is it a Mermaid? by Candy Gourlay.  Colorado State Parks passes are available at the libraries for checkout on a first-come, first served basis.

At the Delta County Fairgrounds in Hotchkiss, the posted book is “Read a Rhyme, Write a Rhyme” by Jack Prelutsky.

At the Paonia Library, the posted book is There’s No Such Thing as a Dragon by Jack Kent.
