Local Author Talk: Judy Fairchild

February 28 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm MST

Local author Judy Fairchild joins us at Paonia Library to speak about her life in education and writing, and her creative process on Wednesday, February 28th from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

Judy is the author of the The Old Eve Tree. During the summer of 1952, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, seven-year-old Tilly Harris begins to see her world differently. This story, told through her eyes, discovers prejudice against differences, truths that have to be hidden, cruelty disguised as righteousness, and strength in standing up for what is right.

Raised in Gunnison, Colo., local author Judy Fairchild has lived, taught school, and worked in education for 40 years in Delta County. Now retired, she writes, hikes, plays pickleball, volunteers, and enjoys her family and friends. She will share insights gleaned from her career as an educator and her lifelong interest in reading and writing. There will be a question-and-answer session that follows.
