Book Talk with Kathy Sparacino

November 30 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm MST

Join us at Hotchkiss Library for a book talk and signing of Where Columbines Grow by local author, Kathy Sparacino on Tuesday, November 30 at 3:00pm.  Kathy will read from, discuss, and sign her new novel which has been hailed as “a colorful kaleidoscope of expectation and suspense!”

This book is not your typical western!  In pre-Civil War era, a family decides to move from Kentucky to Colorado to improve the mother’s health. What adventures will they find in an unfamiliar territory? Will they discover gold? Is there land where they can farm, ranch and raise horses? Will they encounter Native Americans? Can they all get along?

If you would like to purchase a copy of the book prior to this event, please contact the author at sparacinok@msn.com. Buying a copy of the book is not required to attend the book talk.

About the Author: Katherine Sparacino began writing at an early age, inspired by an aunt who was a teacher. She worked for a newspaper composing her own column. While living in a historic mining and railroad district, she was inspired to do research for this story. Leaving the hectic urban existence, she moved to the clean and peaceful rural area of Western Colorado. Her love of children has involved her in various kids’ ministries.

**Due to capacity restrictions, space is limited. Please contact the Library to reserve your spot.**
